Jason Connor, founder of ConfluenceStat, LLC, is a clinical trialist and statistician with degrees in Biomedical Engineering (BS) and Statistics & Public Policy (Ph.D.).
For 20 years he’s been incorporating these talents in designing and analyzing innovative Bayesian and adaptive clinical trials, first at Cleveland Clinic then at Berry Consultants. His work has included collaboration with professionals in academia and government as well as from the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industries.
Dr. Connor spent 11 years collaborating in the design of over 200 Bayesian adaptive trials and platform trials, which provided him extensive experience with the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), and Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH).
While collaborating as a statistician he has developed an intense knowledge in numerous clinical areas such as gastroenterology, neurology, emergency medicine, cardiology, and others. He was named Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology in 2005 and served as an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Gastroenterology from 2003-2009. He served on the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute’s (PCORI's) Clinical Trial Advisory Panel from 2014-2018. He has authored more than 95 articles in the statistical and medical literature.
